UNITED KINGDOM
I had food culture shock when I visited UK. In fact, I had food culture shock everytime I was there. Call me a food snob, I just didn't like the food when I was there visiting. One can still find good food, but one has to work really hard to find good places to eat. Even the Chinese food in the London Chinatown (I had local Chinese taking me to the "real good" places) still does not taste as good as the ones in Boston, let alone comparing it to NYC or LA.
But - there is still something good to be said about the UK food scene. They do a lot of organic preparation way earlier than the States. Often, I saw signs on restaurants saying that they used organic products or free range chicken. I may be having poorly cooked breakfast, but at least I know that I am having quality stuff!
UK also has one of the best Indian foods outside of India. I had my first true spicy experience in a UK Indian restaurant. Ethnically, Indian peopel are everywhere, even the McDonald's carries a curry chicken dish.
